Mission: Insurrection [Fleet Plot]

=*= Vesuvius, Bridge =*=

Kassi was on her way to the bridge even before Fischer had alerted her that they were almost there. Having been tracking both the time, their location, and the joining of the rest of the fleet ships. She'd known when they had gotten close enough to bring her up top. Actually rather proud of herself for managing to keep busy enough to stay off the bridge till now, she took a deep breath as she stepped off the turbo lift and onto the main bridge.

Brows furrowed as she looked out, seeing the same thing the others were. Ships and ship parts were scattered here and there, though some didn't even look as though they where actually in use. There was a slight cant of her head as she moved from where she was over to one of the side panels curiously to check something against the information she'd had on her PaDD.

“According to the way we came in, the Station is facing the wrong way.... “ She said more to herself then anyone. Of course seeing this mess brought added concerns for the mission, and for Medusa... she couldn't help but to wonder if they had actually made it into the Station.

"Is that a problem, Admiral?" Fischer asked curiously. The hull of the station was, after all, circular. His flight controller stood ready to order magnum launch, and all pilots were in their ships. The Vesuvius, with fresh paint over the repaired hole in her hull, was ready for combat.

"No, just find it odd that's all. Add that to the fact that they are farther south then we used to be makes me wonder just what that Vulcan did to my Station." She stepped back some and paced a little as she looked at the mess before them. "We likely need to scan those floating ships. See what ones might be an issue...." She paused suddenly with a glance to the Colonel. "Sorry, I'm probably telling you stuff you likely already figured to do."

"You're the Admiral." Fischer replied diplomatically. No doubt alarm klaxons would be wailing on Zetari right now.

She looked at Fischer. "This is your ship though, I should be letting you run it. Though, I'm surprised we haven't heard from them yet." She said figuring Zetari would have hailed them by now.

"Captain, we have incoming." The Lieutenant watching over main Operations swiftly informed Sa'Tak who rushed from his office. Already in the process of getting reports from the rest of the team.

"Red alert, and hail the lead ship." He'd half excepted this and was glad they had gotten the communications working again. "Inform shipyards to make sure Medusa and the others area ready to go."

Fingers interlaced behind his back as Sa'Tak stood before the view screen and waited to hear from the Vesuvius.

"Incoming hail" Came the voice of one of the officers.

Kassi waited till the view became clear, then tried not to smirk seeing the Vulcan's face when he saw her. Clearly she wasn't someone he'd expected to see. A slight glance to Fischer before she moved, the downfall of military protocol was she was forced to be the one to do the talking.

Stepping forth, she for once was glad for the cane she had for extra support as she felt her stomach flip and a light shiver run though her. All the practice she'd been doing to try and prepare herself for this moment went out the window when the realization that this was for real. That she was once more leading a fleet into a situation that could get ugly, no matter what she hoped for. ~Speak Kassi~ She reminded herself, knuckles whitening as she straightened her stance some. She'd failed the fleet once, she wouldn't do it again.

"This is Admiral Denterius, Commander of the Starbase you are currently over seeing. By order of Admiral Malone, Starfleet Commander in Chief. I order you to surrender yourself and return the station back to it's rightful owner." Denterius said with a voice of confidence that would likely surprise even the Colonel.

"To be correct, this is a UFP Station now and one that will not be turned over to a traitor such as yourself, or those that are with you." Sa'Tak replied, his stance never changing as he kept focused on the blonde half-breed.

"Having been a Commanding officer of this Station, you know full well that you can't over take it with just a few ships like you have. Beam yourself over here and into the custody of the UFP Security, and then we can start settling this mess down and getting everyone as they should be. If the rest of the ships flip to UFP willingly like some already have it will make it much easier on all." Sa'Tak paused a moment as if to give the Admiral a moment to take it all in before adding on.

"You have 5 minutes to decide otherwise we will consider you and the others traitors and fire upon you." With that said, he gave a silent signal and the channel closed.

"Signal Colonel Blackwell. Five and one to magnum launch." Fischer spoke to his flight control officer before turning back to Kassi.

"You don't really expect him to surrender the station do you, Admiral?" He asked.

When the connection had closed Kassi closed her eyes and focused on taking some deep breaths to focus her self once more. Her lower lip held within the light grasp of her teeth. Dark blues drifted over to Fischer with a slight shake of her head. "No, but I had to try."

Looking back out at the scene before her she swallowed hard. "Just enough damage to show we aren't playing."

Whatever the hell that meant, Fischer thought to himself. The minutes ticked by as they closed, with activity picking up around Zetari. One second after the five minute mark, fighters began pouring from the hangar bay of the Vesuvius.
